Pansy Layette Crochet Pattern

Pansies are a cool weather flower that is often seen in decorative pots in early spring. This flower is the sign that warm weather is on the way when the plant begins to bloom after a long winter. Rnd 2: With right side facing, join LC with sl st to any ch-2 sp, (ch 1, sc, 2 hdc, sc) in same sp, (sl st, ch 1, sc, 3 hdc, sc) in next sp, (sl st, ch 1, sc, 2 hdc, sc) in next sp; * [sl st, ch 1, sc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, (tr, ch 1) 4 times, dc, ch 1, sc] in next sp *; rep from * to * once; join with sl st to first sc.
Row 3: Working around petals, ch 1, ** sc in next sc, 2 hdc in next 2 hdc, sc in next sc, sl st in sl st **, sc in next sc, 2 hdc in next 3 hdc, sc in next sc, sl st in sl st, rep from ** to ** once more. Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join DC with sl st to last sl st workeRnd 1d, working around edges of large petals, sl st in first sc, * (sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 4) 6 times, sl st in next ch-1 sp, sl st in sl st, rep from * once more; working around edges of small petals, sl st in each st around; join. Finish off and weave in ends.

Finish off, leaving long end for sewing.
