Size: Dependent on size of picture.

 

 

Materials: Premier® Yarns – Enchant® - used in model.

Lace Weight Yarn :

King's Crown – yardage dependent on size of picture.

 

Abbreviations

hdc - half double crochet

slst(s) - slip stitch(es)

 

Additional Materials: Laminated picture, Hole Punch, Thread Needle.

Maggie's Suggestion: The Imaginisce 6-hole i-punch works well as you can choose the size of holes needed.

Tiger Tape helps you space your holes evenly.

 

Crochet Hook:  Size B-1 (2.25 mm) or size which fits through punched holes.

 

Gauge: Not important for this project.

 

PICTURE EDGING

Trim laminate to about ½" around picture. Using punch, make holes in laminate close to the picture about ½" apart. (Hint: Start by making a hole in each corner and then evenly spread the holes across the sides.)

 

Using double strand of Enchant (or other suitable yarn), join with slst in corner hole, 5hdc in same corner hole, [3hdc in next hole] around, working 5hdc in each corner hole; join with slst to first hdc. Finish off and weave in ends.
