Trillium Flower
Skill Level: Easy
Materials: This flower can be worked with any weight of yarn. Finer weights will create a smaller flower, and bulkier weights will create a larger flower. Use the hook size appropriate for the yarn you choose.
Abbreviations:
ch (chain)
slst (slip stitch)
sc (single crochet)
hdc (half double crochet)
dc (double crochet)
tr (treble crochet)
Special Stitches:
Picot: Ch3, slst in 3rd ch from hook.
Center
Rnd. 1: With Yellow, ch2, (sc, picot) 6 times in 2nd ch from hook, join to beginning sc, fasten off.
White Petal (make 3)
Rnd. 1: First Petal, with White, ch10, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 7 ch, 3sc in next ch, working in back loops of beginning ch, sc in next 8 ch. Do not join. 19sc
Rnd. 2: Ch1, turn, skip first sc, slst in next sc, sc in next sc, hdc in next sc, dc in next 3 sc, 2 tr in next 2 sc, 5tr in next sc, 2tr in next 2 sc, dc in next 3 sc, hdc in next sc, sc in next sc, skip next sc, slst in next sc, fasten off, weave in ends. 25St
Petal Assembly
Rnd. 1: Join with sl st at bottom of petal, slst in first 12 st, slst, picot, slst in next 12 st, *slst in next 12 st on next petal, slst, picot, slst in next st, slst in next 12 st*, repeat from *to* once, join to beginning slst, fasten off, weave in ends.
Weave straight stitches around bottom of petals, pull tight to close opening, tie to secure.
Leaves (make 3)
Rnd. 1: With Green, ch9, sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 5 dc, 5dc in next ch, working in back loops of beginning ch, dc in next 5 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch. Fasten off, weave in ends.
Leaf Assembly
Rnd. 1: attach yarn in first sc at bottom of leaf, slst in first 9 st, slst, picot, slst in next 9 st, *slst in next 9 st on next leaf, slst, picot, slst in next st, slst in next 9 st*, repeat from *to* once, join to beginning slst, fasten off.

Tie or sew Center, Petals and Leaves together as shown, weave in all ends.
