With Burgundy, make a chain 40 inches long. Lay this chain aside.
From another ball of the same color, cut 10 strands, each 45 inches long. Knot strands together 3 inches from each end.
Row 1:Starting after the first knot, hold the strands at top of chain, working over strands, sc in 2nd ch from hook, (sc in next ch) across, until other knot is reached. Finish off leaving 4" long end. Draw this length through knot. Cut off remaining chain.
Row 2:With right side facing, join Dusty Pink with sc in first sc of previous row. Cut and knot 10 strands of same color, each 45 inches long. Starting after the first knot, hold the strands on top of previous row, working over strands, sc in each sc across. Finish off leaving 4" long end. Draw this length through know.
Repeat Row 2, alternating colors, until Rug measures 24 inches, ending with Burgundy. Trim ends evenly.
