Hook: US Size I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle to weave in ends; 1 moveable stitch marker

STITCH GUIDE
Woven-Look Pattern (even number of sts):
Rnd A: [Dc in next sc, sc in next dc] around.
Rnd B: [Sc in next dc, dc in next sc] around.
Rep these 2 rnds for woven look.
BAG
Base
With MC, ch 33.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2rd ch from the hook, sc in each of next 30 ch, 2 sc in last ch, working in other side of starting ch, sc in each of next 32 ch, sc in last ch; join with sl st to first sc – 64 sc. Do not turn. Place a removable stitch marker in the last sc, move up each rnd to mark last st, working in a spiral.
Rnd 2: 2 Sc in next sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in each of next 2 sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in last sc – 68 sc.
Rnd 3: Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc – 72 sc.
Rnd 4: Sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 30 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in each of next 2 sc – 76 sc.

Sides
Rnd 8: Ch 1, working in both loops, sc in first sc, dc in next sc, [sc in next sc, dc in next sc] around; join with sl st to first sc.
Rnd 9: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), sc in next dc, work Rnd A of Woven-Look Patt around; join with sl st to first dc (3rd ch of ch-3)
Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in same dc as joining, dc in next sc, work Rnd B of Woven Look Patt around; join with sl st to first sc.
Rep Rnds 9-10 about 28 times. Bag should measure 13.75" from front loop ridge (Rnd 7).
Last Rnd: Ch 1, sc in each st around; join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Handle (make 2)
With MC, leaving a 12" long end for sewing, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook – 6 sc. Place a removable stitch marker in the last sc, move up each rnd to mark last st, working in a spiral.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Rnd 3: Sc in each sc around.
Rnds 4 – 48: Rep Rnd 3. Fasten off, leaving 12" long end for sewing to Bag.
Small Flower (Make 1 with CC1 and 2 with CC2)
With CC, ch 4, join with sl st to first ch to form ring.
Rnd 1: Ch1, work 10 sc in ring, join with sl st to first sc – 10 sc.
Rnd 2: [Ch 4, skip next sc, sl st in next sc] 5 times - 5 ch-4 sps.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, [(sc, 4 dc, sc) in next ch-4 sp] around; join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off leaving a long end for sewing to Bag.
Large Flower (Make 2 with CC1 and 3 with CC2)
Inner Layer
Rep Small Flower. At end of Rnd 3, do not fasten off.
Second layer
Rnd 4: Ch 1, fold next petal forward, sl st in next skipped sc on Rnd 2, [ch 5, fold next petal forward, sl st in next skipped sc on Rnd 2] 5 times – 5 ch-5 sps.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, [(2 sc, 6 dc, 2 sc) in next ch-5 sp] around; join with sl st to first sc.
Fasten off leaving a long end for sewing to Bag.
FINISHING
Using tapestry needle, weave in all ends and secure.
Position Handles inside top of bag as shown and using long ends and tapestry needle, sew into place.
Position Large and Small Flowers on the front side of the Bag as shown (or use your imagination to place them as you desire). Using long ends and tapestry needle, sew into place.
Weave in all ends.
