Intermediate Skill

Size: One size fits most Adults.

Materials: Premier® Yarns - Deborah Norville Collection – Serenity® Chunky Weight – used in models.

Bulky Weight Yarn :

Main Color (MC) – 3.5oz, 109yd (100g, 100m)

Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook: Deborah Norville size L-11 (8.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 5dc = 2"; 4 rnds dc = 2".

 

Special Stitches

Front Post Double Crochet: (FPdc): Yo hook, insert hook from front to back to front around post of indicated st, yo hook, pull up lp, [yo hook, pull through 2 lps] twice.

Back Post Double Crochet: (BPdc): Yo hook, insert hook from back to front to back around post of indicated st, yo hook, pull up lp, [yo hook, pull through 2 lps] twice.

Unless noted otherwise, always skip the st behind the FPdc and the st in front of the BPdc

Mitts (Make 2)

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at cuff, ch20, slst in first ch to form ring; ch3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), [dc in next ch] around; join with slst to first dc (3^rd ch of ch-3). (20dc)

Rnds 2-4: Ch2 (counts as first BPdc, now and throughout), FPdc in next dc, [BPdc in next dc, FPdc in next dc] around; join with slst to first dc (2^nd ch of ch-2). (20dc)

Rnd 5: Ch1, sc in same st as joining, [hdc in next dc] around. (1sc & 19hdc) DO NOT JOIN, MARK ENDS OF RNDS.

Rnd 6: Hdc in next sc, [hdc in next hdc] around. (20hdc)

Rnds 7-9: Hdc in each hdc around. (20hdc)

Rnd 10: Ch2, skip next 2 hdc (thumb hole), [hdc in next hdc] around. (18hdc)

Rnd 11: Hdc in each of next 2 ch, [hdc in next hdc] around. (20hdc)

Rnds 12-13: Hdc in each hdc around. (20hdc)

Rnd 14: Hdc in each hdc around, sc in next hdc, slst in next hdc. (20hdc, 1sc & 1slst)

Rnd 15: Ch2, FPdc in next hdc, [BPdc in next st, FPdc in next st] around; join with slst to first dc. (20dc)
