Sizes:
One block worked in Worsted Weight yarn is about 5" square.
One block worked in Bulky Weight yarn is about 7" square.
Materials: Premier® Yarns - Deborah Norville Collection – Everyday® Soft Worsted & Serenity® Chunky Weight – used in models.
Worsted Weight Yarn :
For each Block:
Main Color (MC) – 60yds
Contrasting Color (CC) – 6yds
Bulky Weight Yarn :
For each Block:
Main Color (Pond) (MC) – 60yds
Contrasting Color (Cloud Dancer) (CC) – 6yds
Additional Materials: Yarn Needle.
Crochet Hooks:
For Worsted Weight yarn - Deborah Norville size I-9 (5.50 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
For Bulky Weight yarn - Deborah Norville size L-11 (8.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauges:
For Worsted Weight yarn – one Block = 5" square.
For Bulky Weight yarn – one Block = 7" square.

JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

GRANNY BLOCK
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with MC, ch4, join with slst to first ch to form ring; ch5 (counts as first dc and ch-2, now and throughout), [3dc in ring, ch2] 3 times, 2dc in ring; join with slst to first dc (3rd ch of ch-5). (12dc & 4 ch-2sps)
Rnd 2: Slst in ch-2sp, ch5, 3dc in same sp, ch1, [Shell in next ch-2sp, ch1] 3 times, 2dc in first sp; join as before. (24dc, 4 ch-1sps & 4 corner ch-2sps)
Rnd 3: Slst in ch-2sp, ch5, 3dc in same sp, ch1, 3dc in next ch-1sp, ch1, [Shell in corner ch-2sp, ch1, 3dc in next ch-1sp, ch1] 3 times, 2dc in first sp; join as before. (36dc, 8 ch-1sps & 4 corner ch-2sps)
Rnd 4: Slst in ch-2sp, ch5, 3dc in same sp, ch1, [3dc in next ch-1sp, ch1] twice, *Shell in corner ch-2sp, ch1, [3dc in next ch-1sp, ch1] twice; rep from * twice more, 2dc in first sp; join as before. (36dc, 8 ch-1sps & 4 corner ch-2sps) finish off leaving long end for sewing blocks together.
Floral Trim
Note: This round is worked in the stitches of Rnds 1 and 2.
With right side of Block facing, join CC with sc to any corner ch-2sp of Rnd 1 between the 3-dc groups, , ♥*ch3, working in Rnd 2, sc in center dc of next 3-dc group, ch3**, working in Rnd 1, sc in center dc of next 3-dc group; rep from *to** once, working in Rnd 1, sc in next corner ch-2sp between the 3-dc groups; rep from ♥ around, ending at ** on final repeat; join with slst to first sc.
