Materials: Worsted Weight Yarn: MC 32 oz, CC 28 oz
Q Hook
Gauge: 2 strands of yarn worked together: 2 sts and 2 chs = 2”. 6 rows = 3”
Abbreviations
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
st - stitch
Changing Color
Work last stitch before color change to last step (2 loops on hook), drop unused color to wrong side; with new color, YO and pull through 2 lps on hook.
Use two strands of yarn throughout.
With CC, ch 94.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook, * ch 1, skip next st, sc in next st * across.
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp, * ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp * across, ending with a sc in the last sc and changing to MC.
Row 3: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in the first sc, * ch 1, sc in next ch-1sp* across, ending with a sc in the las sc.
Row 4: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in next sc, sc in next ch-1 sp, * ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp * across, ending with a sc in the last sc and changing to CC.
Row 5: Ch 1 and turn. Sc in the first sc, * ch 1, sc in next ch-1sp* across, ending with a sc in the las sc.
Rows 6-121: Repeat rows 2-5.
Row 122: Repeat row 2. Finish off both colors.
Edging
With the right side facing you, join MC with a sl st in first sc, ch 3, 2 dc in the same st as sl st. Skip the next ch sp, * sl st, ch 3, 2 dc in the next ch-1 sp, skip the next ch-1 sp * across to last sc, skip last sc. Work * to * evenly around the afghan.
